LASH EXTENSIONS FAQS
What to expect, how to maintain, and how to get the most from your set.
LASH STYLES + SET TYPES
-
-
Lash sets are customized to your eye shape, natural lashes, and overall look. While inspiration can be referenced, styling is adjusted to create the most balanced and flattering result rather than following a fixed map.
-
You can definitely share inspiration, but final styling is determined during your appointment to ensure the result suits your features and maintains lash health.
FILLS + MAINTENANCE
-
A refill replaces extensions that have shed or grown out, and maintains the overall look of your set.
-
Every 2-3 weeks is recommended to maintain fullness and shape.
-
If more than 40% of your extensions are gone or it’s been longer than 3 weeks, a full set is required.
AFTERCARE + RETENTION
-
Cleanse your lashes regularly, avoid oil-based products around the eye, and brush them daily to maintain shape and retention.
-
Lashes should be cleansed regularly to remove buildup, oils, and debris that can affect retention and overall lash health. A gentle, lash-safe cleanser such as our Cabbage Rose Flower Water Lash Cleanser is recommended.
-
Yes, but avoid waterproof and oil-based products around the eyes.
-
Shedding is part of the natural lash cycle—extensions fall out as your natural lashes shed. Retention can also be affected by aftercare, oil-based products, friction, timing between fills, and even diet!. Consistent care and maintenance are key to keeping your set full.
CONTRAINDICATIONS + SAFETY
-
Yes, when properly applied and maintained. The integrity of the natural lash and eye health should always be the top priority.
-
Lash extensions may need to be postponed if you have an active eye infection, irritation, certain conditions, compromised skin around the eye area, or if your natural lashes are significantly weakened or damaged. A full assessment is done before your service.
-
If your natural lashes are significantly weakened, Lash Rehab may be recommended before applying extensions to restore strength, support healthy growth, and prevent further damage.
-
No. Foreign fills are not accepted. Existing extensions must be removed before a new set can be applied to ensure proper isolation, retention, and lash health.
APPOINTMENT EXPECTATIONS
-
Full sets typically take 2-3 hours. Refills take 60-90 minutes.
-
Arrive with clean lashes and no eye makeup. It’s recommended to stop mascara wear 24 hours prior to your appointment.
-
Comfort is prioritized. The environment is designed to help you relax, but lash appointments do require you to remain still with your eyes closed for an extended period of time. If you have concerns, they can be discussed before your appointment.
